About Not Our Own

My heart behind all this is simple, I hope that it blesses you, I hope this leads you into a more intimate knowledge of the heart of the Father, I hope this brings you into closer towards full surrender, dying to yourself; because the Gospel points us towards living lives that are Not Our Own.

Holy Spirit is the difference maker and one moment will change everything. If I can do anything to facilitate that presence among you, or lead you, or stir in you a desire to seek out someone who can– that's all I want.

Expect to see a ton of wide variety of things on here; from little nuggets the Lord while I'm driving or through simple interactions to theological issues being discussed in my classes or that I have been wrestling with. My post ideas list is faster than I feel like could ever catch up to and includes topics that range from advice I wish people had given me at previous stages of life, to seeing the epic greatness of God in some difficult times, to dreamy topics I don't think are talked about enough in the Church and other and some not so dreamy topics that are equally not talked about nearly enough! So, I'm pumped. Peace and blessings, to you all!

About me

Howdy! I’m Madi, come recklessly pursue Christ with me! I’m in my last semester at Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee and my heart is to walk alongside others as they experience the transformation that is in the act of surrendering to Christ and living lives that are Not Our Own.

I am currently studying Theology and Ministry, though I came in as a Pre-Law major with VERY different plans (that's a fun story, maybe I'll write a blog post about it...). I am absolutely obsessed and in love my university. I have had the rich, rich blessing to serve in and be involved in many areas in Student Life around campus, by which the the Lord has used immeasurably to work through and speak into my life by.

Other fun things to know about me– I was born in Texas, but spent the majority of my life in Minnesota, if I could be a summer camp counselor for the entire rest of my life, I would, my three favorite things in the entire world are my puppy, iced coffee and my momma, and I am, in fact an an enneagram eight. Anything else you will have to either subscribe or buy me a cup of coffee to find out!
